Why anyone let this jackass get on the front lines with a red shirt is just beyond comprehension. Link.

Finally, an end to the War on Drugs

“Regardless of how you try to explain to people it’s a ‘war on drugs’ or a ‘war on a product,’ people see a war as a war on them,” he said. “We’re not at war with people in this country…Regardless of how you try to explain to people it’s a ‘war on drugs’ or a ‘war on a product,’ people see a war as a war on them,” he said. “We’re not at war with people in this country.” He goes on to say, “The Obama administration is likely to deal with drugs as a matter of public health rather than criminal justice alone, with treatment’s role growing relative to incarceration, Mr. Kerlikowske said.” Link.

Finally an administration sees the reality of the useless war on drugs. Prison does not help drug addicts or drug dealers, you have to alleviate the root cause to prevent the unwanted outcome. Make people not want to do drugs in the first place. Then, if they do abuse drugs you treat their problems and the cause of wanting to do drugs, not put them in prison with murders.

Amazing technology, thanks Nazis!

The Nazis were of course mass murderers, but they also were the most advanced and innovative engineers at the time. Many of their WWII technology came over to the USA – rather, we took their scientists – and enabled us to nuke Japan and then throw down fisticuffs to the Soviets in the Cold War. Thanks Nazi Germany! More pics here.

Why can’t we just call it a war already?

Posted: April 2nd, 2009 | Author: admin | Filed under: morons, society, war | Tags: , | No Comments »

“According to a March 24 e-mail sent by the Office of Management and Budget to various speechwriters and personnel in the Obama administration, the term “Global War on Terror” (GWOT) is no longer sanctioned as government-speak. Yes, the new White House has actually abolished the idea of a broad title for the defining American military engagement of the post-9/11 era and instead undertaken to refer only to the epiphenomena as “Overseas Contingency Operations.”" ugh, more on it here.

Since he took office in January, President Barack Obama has ordered an additional 21,000 U.S. troops to be deployed to Afghanistan, which will bring the full U.S. deployment there to a total of 60,000 troops, joining 39,000 coalition troops from 43 countries.” Tons of pictures if you click here.
